Dr. Tom Wendel is an equine veterinarian, Texas A&M grad, former orthopedic surgeon on the racetrack, and was a sole practitioner in Colorado for the last 10+ years before relocating to Aiken, SC. His wife Kim is an eventer and daughter Elle loves raising chickens. We are so excited to join the Aiken horse community!

Dr. Tom Wendel is focused on equine sports medicine. Wendel Mobile Equine has the capability to diagnose and treat in the field. At each appointment, Dr. Wendel's mobile unit has radiograph, ultrasound, shockwave, biologics centrifuge, cold laser, and standard joint injection options.
